It all started
back in 1998, when I started going up to Knockhill with my
cousin Ross to watch my Uncle John race his XR2. From then
to around 2003 I had watched my Dad, Sister, Uncle Robert
and Ross all race. It was then I decided that I'd had enough
of spectating and the first step for me was Go-Karts. Spent
3 years competing in karts but after navigating for my Dad
for a year, I decided I wanted to try my hand at rallying.
Had alot of fun behind the wheel of my wee 205 but the inconsistency
of events kind of put a dampener on things. Then in 2009 my
Uncle John generously gave me the opportunity to drive his
Legends car for a meeting, the idea was just to go out and
have a bit of fun. After testing, that was it, I was hooked.
I decided that a full season was the way to go, and not a
half hearted attempt either, the car was going to be run and
maintained by multiple championship winning team BurnettMotorsport.
I can easily say that 2009 has been my most enjoyable year
in motorsport and that's why I'm going to do it all again
in 2010.
