September - Scottish Championship
Rounds Eight & Nine
Knockhill
Ross Marshall has
nearly tied up the 2009 Scottish Championship this weekend
at Knockhill. A DNF denied Ross Marshall the chance to secure
the overall title with two rounds remaining - he has an 1180
point lead with 1200 points remaining to be claimed. All being
well Ross should tie things up in the first race at the next
round along with Nick Brace who is looking to seal the Rookie
Championship from Burnett Motorsport team mate David Hunter
who is currently second.

to Frank Hynds on Saturday's win and also to Scott Hynds on
Sunday.
Steve McCall says;
"Knockhill GT round - we set off with one thing to do
- that was finish everything we started but that was not as
easy as we thought. It still turned out to be a great weekend.
David got some great results in car 6. Nick's weekend got
better once we sorted some new issues - remember this was
his first meeting after the big roll over at Anglesey. The
car is a new chassis and body and lots more other parts after
that but by the time we got to the final on Sunday he seemed
to have the car back to where it was. Only time will tell
of course but he seemed well in control! As for Ross it was
a big ask for him to clinch the title with two meetings remaining.
He got on with it though and you need to think this is his
first full season going for an outright title and it's hard
to be in that position with any number of years racing experience.
He only needs 20 more points to bag the title.
