19th July -
Scottish Championship
Round Five
Knockhill
Thats the Knockhill
Speed Fair done. We were running Ross Marshall, David Hunter
and Nick Brace. It was a very eventful weekend as all the
drivers in the SMRC Championship have moved up a gear - it
was such a fast race meeting with the increased pace but that
comes with a bit of damage. David has settled into his car
and is getting more comfortable. As for Ross and Nick there
are now together with their cars. In the final a lucky escape
by Ross saw him escape hitting the wall flat out. Frank Hynds
hit the tyres flat out causing a stoppage. The result of this
one is causing some discussion and has not been settled yet.
Nick feels that it's all coming back to him nice and sweet
after that big crash at Oulton - sometimes that sort of thing
can be positive - check out what Alex Knight said in the SMRC
show a couple of rounds back about the roll over he had last
year. We're now getting ready for the Anglesey weekend with
a big fleet of cars. It's the meeting that counts towards
the World Points Championship so it's an important one and
believe it or not the American Legends boss Darrel Krentz
is coming over to the UK for the first time to see the action.
